For the past few weeks, my wardrobe has been the same jeans and a light flowy dress. I am such a girly girl, bring on the tulle, sparkle and pretty dresses! And now a jean skirt, I have never worn a jean skirt. It was a trend I never got on board with. But now that I have found the perfect jean skirt that I can not live without, I can not remember the last time I wore a proper skirt. It is such a great feeling to add more skirts to my wardrobe since I am used to wearing a dress with more cute dresses. All fall has been jeans or dresses and nothing else, it’s my routine. I actually found the skirt at the back of my closet after having a mass clean out. You know that you have a wardrobe routine when you find clothes in the back of your closet with the tags still on.
When I saw this one I was in love, I could not believe I have not worn it. It was such a shame that I forgot it in the back of my closet. When I tried it on, it was love at first sight. I first thought it looked weird but, between you and me, I had it on backwards. Shh, don’t tell anyone. The color on the skirt is perfect, it’s not too dark for Autumn and not too light for Spring. It has the perfect tones to wear all year round. My favorite detail is the trim around the bottom. It gives it an edge yet soft look. It is something I would have passed up on the rack. I am so happy I went out of my comfort zone and tried something new. Hopefully it shows progress with my style. A jean skirt is now my new jean jacket, a staple in my wardrobe. This skirt is a game changer. It is easy to dress down and make casual chic or boss it up and be a babe for a night out.
