Small Home Organization Tips I Live By

While being in quarantine, I have become the organization queen. There is nothing better than seeing everything in its place and having a proper label on it. It is so important when you live in a small space to have plenty of organization. Not only does it look great but helps you save space. For most of my life, I lived in a small space and had to be smart about how much stuff I have and to keep the things I have in order. I love when my home is organized and clean.

There is something about being able to see everything and everything having its own place. I have struggled with keeping organized but over the years, I have found that being organized helps me function better and everything. We can all use a little motivation with getting a little organized. I know it can be hard to think of ways to improve being organized but I am here to give you a few easy things on how to stay organized.

When they go low you go high, or make even low

When you have a small space, it is important to use as much of it as you can. Using vertical space can maximize your storage area. If you are not able to go high then use a storage bin and spaces under the bed or couch to make the space more usable.

Organization as decor

I love to use hats and books as great organizational pieces. It is so important to be creative with using your walls and creating a space for your hats and bags and other trinkets.

Put it on a rack

I love being able to use a nice clothing rack where I can store my favorite outfits and a few new cute accessories. Not only is it a great decor piece but I don’t need to be bursting at the seams with my closet.

Use as many bins as possible

After using bins for everything, I am able to see everything at a glance. Organizing your closet with stylish wardrobe boxes or using containers for your pantry makes everything easy to see.

If you like it, put a label on it

I am the label queen. I love putting a label on everything and anything. I love being able to see what I have at a glance. Not only does it help me save money but it looks so aesthetically pleasing.

Furniture with purpose

When you are in a small space, it’s important to find pieces that can do dual purpose. I try to use products that have dual purpose in terms of creating storage but look like normal decor pieces. Such as benches, coffee tables and bookshelves.
